Camile Paglia

In Glittering Images: A Journey Through Art from Egypt to Star Wars Camile Paglia leads us chronologically through the paintings, sculptures, architectural styles, performance pieces, and digital art that have defined and transformed our visual world. From tomb paintings to George Lucas—whom she declares is the world’s greatest living artist—Paglia displays her talent for overturning the wisdom of her predecessors.  Paglia is the author of Break, Blow, Burn; Sexual Personae; Sex, Art, and American Culture; and Vamps & Tramps. She has also written The Birds, a study of Alfred Hitchcock.
