Chip Cooper

In Old Havana:  Spirit of the Living City (The University of Alabama Press, $34.95) Havana’s oldest and most historically significant neighborhood comes alive in photographs by Chip Cooper and Néstor Martí.   These visionary photographers, one American and the other Cuban, capture the architecture, people, and daily life of this now vibrant business and residential area.  Martí is the photographer of the Havana Historian’s Office.  Cooper was director of photography for The University of Alabama for thirty-three years and is now artist-in-residence in the Honors College and a faculty member in Arts and Sciences.
