Dan Parent
Dan Parent is a comic book artist and writer best known for his work for Archie Comics. Archie stepped into uncharted territory when Parent created the series’ first openly gay character, Kevin Keller. The character received national attention, positive reviews, and became the first Archie comic book to sell out in its 69-year history. The success of that comic resulted in a new series, the first of which is Kevin Keller: Welcome to Riverdale (Archie and Friends All-Stars) (Archie Comics, $11.99). Kevin Keller is sure making a splash at Riverdale High! Recently elected class president, Kevin has gone from new kid in town to one of the most well-known and popular students in school. Things change, though, when he decides to ask his romantically-challenged friends Archie, Betty, Veronica, Reggie and Jughead for advice.
