In the trilingual (English, French, Creole) anthology So Spoke the Earth (Women Writers of Haitian Descent), edited by M.J.Fievre, celebrated Haitian writers contribute to a new anthology that celebrates Haitian spirit, multiculturalism, and diversity. Contributors include Joanne Hyppolite, Edwidge Danticat, Liliane Nerette-Louis, Mahalia Solages, Chantalle Francesca Verna, and Marie Ketsia Theodore-Pharel. Liliane Nérette-Louis has served twice as a master artist in the Florida Folklife Apprenticeship Program, and has twice won the Florida Individual Artist Fellowship in Folk Arts. She is the author of When Night Falls, Kric! Krak! Haitian Folktales. Louis is also an extremely accomplished cook, frequently offering Haitian cooking courses through Miami-Dade College and other institutions.
