Rafael Rojas is a professor and researcher at the Center for Economic Research and Teaching at the Colegio de Mexico in Mexico City.
Historiador y ensayista cubano radicado en México. Autor, entre otros títulos, de Cuba mexicana. Historia de una anexión imposible, Premio Matías Romero de Historia Diplomática 1999; La escritura de la independencia. El surgimiento de la opinión pública en México (2003); La Independencia. Actualmente es profesor e investigador del Centro de Investigación y Docencia Económicas (CIDE), en la ciudad de México. Presenta en la Feria La máquina del olvido (Taurus), un conjunto de ensayos sobre la historia de las ideas en Cuba que analiza entre otros temas el nacimiento de la historiografía cubana y la cultura política en la isla anterior a la Revolución.
