Fisher Award for Distinguished Writing from the James Beard Foundation and the Gourmand World Cookbook Award, she is the author of The London Cookbook: Recipes from the Restaurants, Cafes, and Hole-in-the-Wall Gems of a Modern City; Eat. Her work has been anthologized, most notably in Best American Food Writing, and her recipes and essays are found in many major publications, including The New York Times, The Atlantic, Town & Country, and Bon Appétit, and online on Food52, Epicurious, and Goop. She is married to the writer John Burnham Schwartz, and they live in New York with their son, Garrick, and their Bouvier des Flandres, Bison.
