LUCIA M. GONZALEZ is the current president of REFORMA de Florida, a chapter of REFORMA: The National Association to Promote Library and Information Services to Latinos and the Spanish-Speaking. She is also a Cuban-born award-winning author, known for her Pura Belpré Honor books The Bossy Gallito and The Storyteller’s Candle/La velita de los cuentos. She is also the author of Señor Cat’s Romance and Other Favorite Stories from Latin America. She is past president of the National Association for Library Service to Children, a division of the American Library Association.
