Elena Nunez is a Cuban-born filmmaker and journalist whose documentaries focus on social justice and migration. Her feature film, Crossing the Current, premiered at Tribeca Film Festival in 2023 and was later acquired by PBS for national broadcast. Nunez’s essays have appeared in Film Quarterly and The New York Times. She teaches film production at Florida International University.
