JOEY “WRECKED” MAYA is the former drummer of the first-generation Miami Beach punk band The Reactions. A product of the 1980s South Florida music scene, he knows it intimately. Maya progressed to the national stage as a member of the bands Battalion of Saints and Circus of Power. Wanting more, he traded in his drumsticks to work on Wall Street. His memoir, The Drummer of Miami Beach: The Story of Joey Wrecked (Jitney Books), was published in 2018. Maya has also written the books A Punk on Wall Street and The Punk Who Ruled the World, which are complete and looking for a publishing home.
