JUDITH LINDBERGH’s debut book, The Thrall’s Tale, talked about women in Viking Age Greenland. She has spoken at and published with the Smithsonian Institution and provided expert commentary for History Channel documentaries. She is the founder and director of The Writers Circle, a creative writing center based in New Jersey. Akmaral, which explores a nomad woman warrior on the ancient Central Asian steppes, is her latest work.
