MICHAEL S. GLICKMAN is the founder of jMUSE, a pioneering venture in arts and culture philanthropy, bringing together institutions, experts, and philanthropists to experiment with new ways to cultivate important ideas and innovative content across the United States, Israel, and Europe. He is part of the core team that developed Anne Frank The Exhibition in New York, one of the most successful history-based exhibitions to be presented in the U.S. He launched The Jewish Museums Project; developed Activating Archives, Libraries, and Museums in the Fight Against Antisemitism; and regularly produces nationally recognized initiatives that connect culture, history, and philanthropy. Prior to founding jMUSE in 2019, he served as president and CEO of New York’s Holocaust Museum (Museum of Jewish Heritage), led the Center for Jewish History, and was vice president at Long Island University. He is a doctoral candidate at Indiana University, holds an MPA from Columbia University, and earned both his master’s and bachelor’s degrees from Long Island University.
