Philip Mudd is the former deputy director of the CIA’s Counterterrorist Center and the FBI’s National Security Branch. He is the author of Black Site: The CIA in the Post-9/11 World (Liveright), The Head Game: High-Efficiency Analytic Decision Making and the Art of Solving Complex Problems Quickly (Liveright) and Takedown: Inside the Hunt for Al Qaeda (University of Pennsylvania Press). His writing has appeared in Newsweek, El Wall Street Journal, The Atlantic, Foreign Policy, y El Washington Post. Mudd appears regularly as a CNN commentator and has been a contributor at NBC, Fox News, and NPR.
