Contemporary Publishing: Literary Magazines and Small Presses

John Gosslee is an American poet, the editor of Fjords Review and publisher of C&R Press. His work appears in Yale Review, St. Petersburg Review and many others. His first solo show of blackout poetry will premiere at Rafael Fuchs Gallery in New York in 2016.

Miguel Pichardo is a Dominican-Ecuadorian writer who is currently earning his MFA in fiction at Florida International University. He is the Editor in Chief of the program's student-run, online literary magazine, Gulf Stream. His poetry has appeared in Duende and is forthcoming in Literary Orphans.

2014. Scott Cunningham is the Co-Founder and Director of the O, Miami Poetry Festival and the Executive Editor of Jai-Alai Books. He was named one of “20 Under 40” Emerging Leaders in Miami by the Miami Herald; one of the five most creative Miamians under 40 by Ocean Drive magazine; and one of the “100 most creative people in Miami” by the Miami New Times. His poetry has appeared in Harvard Review, the Awl, Tupelo Quarterly, Court Green, PANK, the Rumpus, and Columbia: a Journal of Art and Literature, among others. He was a finalist for the National Chapbook Fellowship from Poetry Society of America in 2013 and a Pushcart Prize nominee in 2014. A graduate of Wesleyan University, he lives in Miami, FL.

Ralph Hamilton is editor of RHINO. He has an MFA in Poetry from Bennington College. His poems have appeared in Court Green, CutBank, Pirene’s Fountain, Blackbird, and other journals. He has had residencies at Ragdale and the Anderson Center, and later served on the board of the Ragdale Foundation. He judged Fifth Wednesday Journal’s Prize in Poetry in Fall 2013, and served as their Guest Poetry Editor in 2014. He was recently nominated for Best New Poet 2015 and Over the Rainbow Books, a book list of the American Library Association, 2015. Ralph was recently selected as Guest Editor for the debut volume of Glass Lyre Press’s Aeolian Harp anthology.
