Theme:Writing With A Sense Of Place.

What does it mean to write with a sense of place? And how can we think of place beyond the conventions of setting? In this First Draft session, we will consider the possibilities of place in our writing, and the ways in which a sense of place can enrich our characters, settings, details, and even our sentences on a line level.

Felipe Bomeny, this Fiction Fellow of our Emerging Writer Fellowship, is a graduate of the University of Chicago and holds an MFA in fiction from the University of Texas, Austin. His work has appeared in Michigan Quarterly Review y Guía aérea, among other publications.
