Canalla estadounidense: El oscuro viaje de Roy Cohn desde Joe McCarthy hasta Donald Trump, coescrito por Kai Bird y Susan Goldmark, is a penetrating biography of super-lawyer and political fixer Cohn, whose exploits across four decades shaped the modern political era, most prominently the ascent of Donald J. Trump. From serving as chief aide to Sen. Joe McCarthy to mentoring Trump, Cohn wielded influence that still resonates in the present day. Peter S. Canellos’ Venganza por los años sesenta: Sam Alito y el triunfo del movimiento jurídico conservador is the first biography of the pivotal Supreme Court justice. Canellos recounts Alito’s ascension up the judicial ladder and how he has moved the law in new, conservative directions, from reducing the power of the Environmental Protection Agency to the monumental overturning of Roe v. Wade.
