AMINA LOLITA GAUTIER is the author of four award-winning short story collections: At-Risk: Stories (University of Georgia Press), Now We Will Be Happy (University of Nebraska Press), The Loss of All Lost Things (Elixir Press), and The Best That You Can Do: Stories (Soft Skull). More than 150 of her stories have been published, and she has received the Blackwell Prize, the Chicago Public Library Foundation’s 21st Century Award, the Flannery O’Connor Award for Short Fiction, a Florida Authors and Publishers Association gold medal in short fiction, two International Latino Book Awards, the Kimbilio-Soft Skull Publishing Prize in fiction, the Mellon-Flamboyan Foundation Letras Boricuas Fellowship, and the PEN/Malamud Award for Excellence in the Short Story.
