BRANDON VEGA, co-author with Phillip Agnew of P.S. Eye Value You (Black House Publishing), previously received the Literacy Trailblazer Award for his book debut, Ghetto Conscious: Evolution of a Rebel. He is also the founder of the E.A.T.N. Project (Exist Above the Noise), a nonprofit organization dedicated to educational empowerment and community upliftment. Through his outreach he has connected with more than 25,000 students across 50 schools, promoting self-esteem, character development, and positive peer relationships. He holds a master’s in urban education with a concentration in community engagement from Florida International University, as well as a certificate in African and African diaspora studies. Vega is a proud father to his son, Messiah, who remains his greatest source of inspiration and purpose.
