DINAW MENGESTU, author of Alguien como nosotros: Una novela (Knopf), has written three previous novels, all of them named Notable Books by The New York Times: All Our Names, How to Read the Air, y The Beautiful Things That Heaven Bears. His articles and fiction have appeared in The New York Times, El neoyorquino, Harper's, and other publications. A native of Ethiopia who came to the United States with his family at the age of 2, Mengestu is a 2012 MacArthur Fellow, a recipient of a Lannan Literary Fellowship for Fiction, and a National Book Foundation “5 Under 35” honoree.
