Dr. Amanda White is a climate scientist and policy advisor for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). She earned her doctorate at Columbia University’s Earth Institute and has worked with the IPCC on ocean-atmosphere modeling. Her 2024 book, Rising Waters: Our Future on a Changing Planet, explores coastal adaptation strategies. She frequently appears on PBS NewsHour and NPR’s Science Friday.
