EMILY NEMENS is the author of the novels Clutch: A Novel (Tin House/Zando), about a close-knit group of women navigating mid-life’s biggest challenges, and The Cactus League (FSG), both of which were Reseña de libros del New York Times Editor’s Choice selections. Her stories and essays have appeared in Bomb, Story, Zyzzyva, n+1, and elsewhere; her illustrations can be seen in El Neoyorquino and in collaboration with the late comic book writer and music critic Harvey Pekar. Nemens spent more than a decade editing literary quarterlies, including leading El París Review and serving as co-editor and prose editor of the Revista del Sur. She teaches in the MFA program at Bennington College.
