Poet and essayist FRANNY CHOI is the author of three poetry collections: The World Keeps Ending, and the World Goes On; Soft Science; y Floating, Brilliant, Gone, andtheessay collection We Radiant Things: Notes on Being Alien and Becoming Cyborg (Ecco). They also co-edited the anthology We the Gathered Heat: Asian American and Pacific Islander Poetry, Performance, and Spoken Word, and their work has appeared in The New York Times, The Atlantic, Paris Review, and elsewhere. Choi earned a B.A. from Brown University and an MFA from the University of Michigan’s Helen Zell Writers Program, where they won Hopwood Awards in poetry and drama. They are a recipient of Poesía magazine’s Frederick Bock Prize and a 2019 Ruth Lilly and Dorothy Sargent Rosenberg Poetry Fellowship, as well as fellowships from Kundiman, VONA, and the Rhode Island State Council on the Arts. Choi is a member of the literature faculty at Bennington College and founded Brew & Forge, a project that aims to build connections between writers, artists, and organizers.
