JACLYN MORIARTY is an Australian novelist best known for her multiple award-winning books for teens and adults, including Time Travel for Beginners (Berkley), The Accidental World-Slip of Astrid Verity: A Kingdoms and Empires Novel (Levine Querido), The Impossible Secret of Lillian Velvet, The Year of Secret Assignments, The Extremely Inconvenient Adventures of Bronte Mettlestone, The Stolen Prince of Cloudburst, and the Colors of Madeleine trilogy. She studied English and law at the University of Sydney, has a Masters in Law from Yale University, and a Ph.D. from Gonville & Caius College, Cambridge. Before her first manuscript was accepted — it became her debut book, Feeling Sorry for Celia — Moriarty worked as a media, entertainment and copyright lawyer.
