RACHEL KNOX, author of the memoir Anywhere Else: Essays on Florida (University Press of Florida), is a writer born and raised in Tampa Bay, Florida. She earned a B.A. in creative writing from The New School and an MFA in creative nonfiction at the University of South Florida, where she currently teaches. Knox is also a bookseller at Tombolo Books in St. Petersburg, Florida. She worked in the service industry for 14 years, and much of her writing centers around food, labor, and class.
