YAEL VALENCIA ALDANA is a Black-Latine poet and writer. She is the author of the collection Black Mestiza: Poems (University Press of Kentucky) and the chapbook Alien(s). A Pushcart Prize winner, she has been featured by Poets & Writers and in Ms. magazine, the Association of Writers & Writing Programs’ The Writer’s Chronicle, and HipLatina, among others.
