After a long hiatus from poetry and decades spent on social activism, journalism, and more, JO-ANN MORT published her first book of poetry, A Precise Chaos: Poems (Arrowsmith Press) in May of 2025, when she was 69 years old. She lives in the Park Slope neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York.
