Michael G. Long

MICHAEL G. LONG is the author or editor of several books on politics, nonviolent protests, and civil rights history, including Call Him Jack: The Story of Jackie Robinson, Black Freedom Fighter; Martin Luther King, Jr., Homosexuality, and the Early Gay Rights Movement; y Marshalling Justice: The Early Civil Rights Letters of Thurgood Marshall. His commentary on civil rights has appeared in many national media outlets, such as the Afro, la Los Angeles Times, and ESPN. His latest book, Más que un sueño: La marcha radical de Washington por empleos y libertad (Farrar, Straus and Giroux), co-written with Yohuru Williams, is longlisted for a 2023 National Book Award for Young People’s Literature.
