Fiction Workshop: The World of the Story with Claire Luchette

Gratis

In this workshop, we will discuss how writers build rich, complicated worlds on the page. We’ll look closely at examples of short fiction by some contemporary masters to understand how the physical setting of the story comes alive and contributes to the story’s meaning. Attendees will also have the chance to practice building worlds of their own, and we’ll provide feedback on each other’s prose.

Claire Luchette se otè woman an Agatha of Little Neon. Their stories and essays have appeared in Pi bon ti istwa Ameriken yo, la New York Times, Ploughshares, Gwantan, Virginia Quarterly Review, ak Kenyon Review. A National Book Foundation 5 Under 35 honoree, Claire has received fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, MacDowell, Yaddo, and the Wisconsin Institute for Creative Writing.
