Abdel Bari Atwan is the editor in chief of the London-based news site Rai al-Youm and was, from 1989 to June 2013, the founder and editor in chief of al-Quds al-Arabi, the independent, pan-Arab daily newspaper. Atwan is the author of The Secret History of al-Qa’ida, A Country of Words, his memoir, After bin Laden: al-Qa’ida, la Next Generation ak dènye liv li a, Islamic State: Digital Caliphate (Saqi Books). He is a regular contributor to a number of UK, US, Middle Eastern and Turkish publications including Gadyen an, The Scottish Herald, Gulf News epi Star Gazet.
