SHASTRI AKELLA holds an MFA in creative writing and a Ph.D. in comparative literature from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. His writing has appeared in Gènik, The Master’s Review, Literati Elektrik, ak Revizyon Liv Los Angeles, among others. The Sea Elephants: A Novel (Flatiron Books) is his debut book of fiction.
