VIRGINIA EUBANKS is the author of A Guide to Open Water Lifesaving – Lessons on Love, Care, and Survival: A Memoir (Farrar, Straus and Giroux). She previously wrote Automating Inequality: How High-Tech Tools Profile, Police, and Punish the Poor. Eubanks is an investigative journalist whose work has appeared in Magazin New York Times, Magazin Harper, Gadyen an, Lanati, ak Syantifik Ameriken. She is an associate professor of political science at the University at Albany, State University of New York.
