AURORA DOMINGUEZ is a high school and university educator, currently teaching journalism, newspaper, and creative writing at Boca Raton High School. She is also a professor in charge of teaching mass communications and journalism classes online at the University of Florida and Florida Atlantic University. She has been an editor and writer for publications such as the Miami Herald, Where Magazine, and J-14. In 2015, she went from the newsroom to the classroom and still freelances for a variety of publications, covering books, literature, travel, and dining features. She won Teacher of the Year for 2022 at Boca Raton High School, was chosen as one of 50 teachers in the United States to be honored by Walt Disney World during its 50th anniversary teacher celebration, and completed her summer studies at the University of Oxford in England on a full scholarship. She graduated that summer with a certificate in English literature with a concentration on Shakespeare, politics, and the works of Jane Austen.
