EMILY NEMENS is the author of the novels Clutch: A Novel (Tin House/Zando), about a close-knit group of women navigating mid-life’s biggest challenges, and The Cactus League (FSG), both of which were Revizyon Liv New York Times Editor’s Choice selections. Her stories and essays have appeared in Bomb, Story, Zizivwa, n+1, and elsewhere; her illustrations can be seen in La Moun Nouyòk and in collaboration with the late comic book writer and music critic Harvey Pekar. Nemens spent more than a decade editing literary quarterlies, including leading La Revi Pari and serving as co-editor and prose editor of the Southern Review. She teaches in the MFA program at Bennington College.
