Costume design is not decoration, but storytelling. In Abiye Istwa a: Atizay Konsepsyon Kostim, written in collaboration with film producer Jim Stark, costume designer Debra McGuire – whose film and TV credits include Zanmi, Frenetik ak Gèk, The Morning Show, ak Anchorman – reveals how clothing becomes character, how fabric carries emotion, and how visual details can shape an audience’s experience without them ever realizing it. Joining her in conversation is Elizabeth Schulte Roth, founder of the Asheville Literary Society.
