JAMES C. CLARK is the author of eight books on Florida history, including A History Lover’s Guide to Florida and A Concise History of Florida, and he is also the editor of a three-volume anthology of Florida literature. He holds a doctorate in Florida history from the University of Florida and is a senior lecturer in the University of Central Florida History Department. His work has been honored by the Florida Historical Society, the Florida Magazine Association, and the Florida Society of Newspaper Editors.
