Lauren Knight is an environmental journalist and documentary filmmaker. Her reporting has taken her from the mangroves of South Florida to coral restoration projects in the Caribbean. Her film, The Water’s Edge, premiered at the Miami Film Festival in 2024 and received a regional Emmy nomination. Knight holds a degree in marine biology from the University of Miami and an MFA in documentary studies from Duke University. She continues to write for National Geographic and teach environmental storytelling workshops.
