JANE EISNER is an accomplished journalist and educator. Her book, Carole King: She Made the Earth Move (Yale University Press), was published in September 2025 and reviewed favorably by The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, the Financial Times, and others. For more than a decade, Eisner was The Forward’s editor-in-chief and the first woman to lead America’s foremost Jewish publication. She has held academic positions at Columbia Journalism School, the University of Pennsylvania, and Wesleyan University, and is currently a senior affiliate at the University of Pennsylvania. Her work has appeared in The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Atlantic, and other publications.
