Bito David

BITO DAVID is an agricultural economist, educator, cultural competency trainer, Haitian Creole curriculum writer, writer, poet, and essayist. He is the multicultural communications and engagement specialist for the School District of Palm Beach County in Florida. Born in Haiti, he has been living in the United States since 1991. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the State University of Haiti, a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Florida Atlantic University, and a master’s degree in cultural foundations of education from Florida Atlantic University. David advocates for integrating Haitian culture into the multicultural education curriculum in the United States. He has published several books on Haiti’s socioeconomic, social, and political situation; Haitian culture; the Haitian Creole language; and other subjects. His main areas of interest are the recognition of the contributions of Haiti and its people to the history of the world, and the promotion of the Haitian people’s cultural, historical, and social identity.
