CALEB EVERETT is a researcher, professor, and administrator at the University of Miami. He is the author of Numbers and the Making of Us and Linguistic Relativity: Evidence Across Languages and Cognitive Domains. His research, some involving collaborations with other scholars and students, has appeared in books and many journals across various disciplines. Everett is a senior associate dean in UM’s College of Arts & Sciences, and a professor in the anthropology department with a secondary appointment in psychology. He is also a member of the inaugural class of Andrew Carnegie Fellows.
