Claire Phillips is an author and essayist whose work examines trauma, loss, and resilience. Her memoir, A Room with Many Windows, won the Graywolf Nonfiction Prize in 2024. Phillips’s essays have appeared in The Paris Review and Electric Literature. She teaches at Columbia University’s MFA writing program and lives in Brooklyn, New York.
