Evan Johnson is a novelist and journalist whose reportage has appeared in The Atlantic, GQ, and The Guardian. His debut novel, The Salt Line, was a finalist for the PEN/Hemingway Award. A graduate of the Iowa Writers’ Workshop, he lives in South Florida, where he teaches narrative nonfiction and mentors emerging writers. His forthcoming novel, The Deepest Current, explores themes of family and environmental change in coastal communities.
