Judge Roy K. Altman

The HONORABLE JUDGE ROY K. ALTMAN is a U.S. District Court judge for the Southern District of Florida, appointed at the age of 36 as the country’s youngest federal district judge. He received a B.A. from Columbia University, where he played quarterback on the football team and pitched for the baseball team while earning All-Ivy honors. He received his J.D. from Yale Law School, where he also edited the Yale Law Journal. Altman was named federal prosecutor of the year and twice earned the Department of Justice’s highest honor before becoming a partner at Podhurst Orseck.
