ERIC LICHTBLAU, journalist and a two-time Pulitzer Prize winner, is the author of American Reich: A Murder in Orange County, Neo-Nazis, and a New Age of Hate (Little, Brown and Company). He wrote three previous nonfiction books, including New York Times bestseller The Nazis Next Door: How America Became a Safe Haven for Hitler’s Men; Bush’s Law: The Remaking of American Justice; and Return to the Reich: A Holocaust Refugee’s Secret Mission to Defeat the Nazis. He was a reporter in the Washington bureau of The New York Times for nearly 15 years, and a reporter for the Los Angeles Times for 15 years before that. He has also written for The New Yorker, Time, USA Today, and other publications.
