Nicole Combeau is a first-generation Colombian American photo artist based in Miami. Working between practices such as portraiture, documentary photography, book arts, and sculpture, she delves into themes of spirituality, identity, and memory. Her commitment to working at the intersection of education and art began shortly after college – where she realized the inherent spiritual value that exists in the practice of creation and felt an urgency to share it with others. As a portrait artist, Nicole is invested in telling ethical and intentional collaborative stories with a keen interest in divesting from artist-centered storytelling and embracing community led narratives.
