Today a Woman Went Mad in the Supermarket: Stories is a collection written by Hilma Wolitzer. Most of these stories were originally published in the 1960s and ’70s in such magazines as Esquire and The Saturday Evening Post, with a new work bringing Wolitzer’s early characters – the author is now in her 90s – into the present.
