KATE CHRISTENSEN is an American novelist, memoirist, critic, and essayist. She is the author of Good Company: A Novel (Harper) and several previous novels, including The Great Man, which won the 2008 PEN/Faulkner Award for Fiction. She has also published two food-centric memoirs, Blue Plate Special and How to Cook a Moose, which won the 2016 Maine Literary Award for Memoir, and numerous essays for a variety of anthologies, including The Bitch in the House and Why We Write About Ourselves, as well as essays and reviews for major publications such as The New York Times, The Nation, Bon Appétit, and Bookforum.
