ARMANDO MENDIVE has been a teacher for more than 30 years, the last 27 at Monsignor Edward Pace High School in Miami Gardens/Opa-locka, Florida, where he teaches all levels of world and American history, human geography, government, and economics. He has an M.A. in history from Florida International University. He has been married to his college sweetheart for almost 25 years and together they have two children, three rescue cats, and a rescue dog.
