Originally from London, BARBARA WANSBROUGH worked at Midnight Films/Specific Films as a development executive before relocating Los Angeles to work on Robert Altman’s Short Cuts. She became Jessica Lange’s development executive at Prairie Films and has worked for Propaganda Films, Gramercy Pictures, Polygram Films, and Twentieth Century Fox. Following a screenwriting assignment for Roman Polanski, Wansbrough was a set decorator in music videos, commercials, and TV. She also spent 14 years in New York, working as a freelance writer and editor for various online publications, serving as the events curator for Brooklyn Public Library, and raising two children. In 2018, she returned to Los Angeles and began writing in earnest, hoping to serve as an inspiration to fellow late bloomers. Wild Things: A Geography of Grief (Eris) is her first published work.
