Born in Buenos Aires, DANI LEVINAS moved with his family to Washington, D.C., in 1980 and founded a publishing company. He is Chair Emeritus of the board of trustees of The Phillips Collection, the Unites States’ earliest modern art museum, created in 1921, and is currently a member of the boards of Madrid’s Fundación Museo Reina Sofía and the Orchestra of the Americas Group. Previously, he served on the board of Trustees of the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden in Washington. He contributes to El País newspaper and has organized exhibitions at the Art Museum of the Americas and the Arlington Art Center in Virginia. Levinas collects international contemporary art, specifically focusing on Latin American artists.
