Daniella Jiménez is a poet and essayist from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Her debut collection, El idioma de los girasoles, won the Casa de las Américas Prize for Poetry. A bilingual writer and translator, her poems explore migration, motherhood, and memory. She teaches creative writing at the University of Miami and co-hosts the podcast Letras del Trópico, dedicated to Caribbean literature. Jiménez divides her time between Miami and Santo Domingo.
