Dr. Angela Ríos is a biologist and science communicator based in Miami. She holds a Ph.D. in ecology from the University of California, Berkeley, and has conducted research in Costa Rica and the Everglades. Her book, Microcosmos: Hidden Life in Plain Sight, was published in 2025 and explores the invisible ecosystems around us. Ríos frequently appears on NPR’s Science Friday and writes for National Geographic.
